RECHARGED AND READY

Yep, that's me!

A few days at a writers conference can really get one back in the frame of mind to write. I am eager to get back to my computer and begin to write and send out. I have not really done that for quite a while. A friend from Oswego, NY (where I lived for over thirty years) came to stay with me and she has been out of writing for over ten years (other than sermons) since she entered the pastorate and her time was spoken for. She, too, came to get recharged. A friend from FL also was in PA this week and though she is quite diligent and motivated already, she said that the writers conference encouraged her to go back and eagerly revise and write on her novel.

The best thing that came out of this conference for John (my husband) and myself was a meeting with a man who had information on marketing and self-publishing. This man had a lot of experience and told us that because we have a publishing company set up, we are perfect candidates to publish a book thru Lightning Source that could then go to Ingram and Amazon and be digitally produced thus there would not be a need for going thru a POD publisher that would make us buy 500 copies and store them in our garage. This way books could be printed as needed. That would be a huge savings if it should work out --and it may because a talented friend is doing the cover and layout of the book who has illustrated many books for numerous publishers and thus could probably do the step that John would not be able to do ourselves easily. IF it should work out, the Lord will have "illustrated" this for us in a way we could not have done ourselves.

I also have three new books that I am eager to read. I decided that I am hoping to keep myself reading as well as writing the last half of the year!
